Model / W6311

Name / UV COD Analyzer

description/

To measure COD concentration in water using UV Detection method. Measuring Range: 0-10 ppm, 0-200 ppm

Features/

General

The ChemMIT W6311 is an easy to operate UV COD analyzer designed to accurately measure the concentration of COD in water. This instrument is consisted with A7000 Controller and UV COD Submersible sensor, available to work for continuous on-line measurement. The results are instant. Real-time data can be used to make immediate adjustments and improve upstream or downstream processes.

The ChemMIT W6311 uses long life solid state special UV lamps with very high precision. The A7000 Controller is with LCD color 7” touch screen display and the graphical user interface is user friendly and easy to operate. The UV COD submersible sensor is robust design and it requires maintenance to a minimum.

Applications

Water pollution control laws and regulations require monitoring of wastewater quality to prevent water pollution in lakes, rivers and enclosed bodies of water. This instrument is suitable to use in many industries for assuring effluent water quality prior to discharging to the environment or municipal sewage system.

Method

Organic matter naturally absorbs UV radiation in 254 nm. As the COD increases, the absorbance of light in this distinct wavelength range will also increase. This analyzer is recommended for use in river water, sanitary water and simple industrial wastewater monitoring. If the use of more complex components in industrial wastewater, it is recommended to use ChemMIT Model W3111 COD on-line analyzer.
